I was putting a ponytail in Aidan's hair when she looked at me and said, "Your hair doesn't look berry good."
"Oh, thanks!" I said with sarcasm.
"No, Mommy. I said it doesn't look good."
Laughing inside, I said again, "Oh, thanks!"
She took my face into her hands and said in a serious tone, "Mommy, I said that it does NOT look good. So don't say thanks."
I guess now we know that four years old is too young for sarcasm. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

I love reading all of your stories about the kids. They sure our growing and cute. All of the stories touch my heart and I cant wait to have my own someday in the near future.
Is that Aidan in her new bedroom? I love her name on the wall. It looks perfect. Sorry you had a hectic day, but from the times I remember, you are going to have many more - ha ha. I know how you felt leaving Aidan crying. It's a mother's worst thing to happen, but we all go through it. Five minutes after you were gone, she forgot! It gets easier - really. She will be a much happier more fulfilled child with school under her belt. Tell her I love her and think about her going to school all the time. Tell Taylor I love him and always think of his smile from that picture in the dryer - ha ha. They are wonderful kids.
Love,
Ruth
